Joyce Wilson

Angels came November 1, 2022, for Joyce Wilson, 93, of Union Center, New York, reuniting her with her husband of 55 years. Joyce was predeceased by her parents Harry and Margaret Houghton, Husband Jerome Wilson and grandson Kevin VanKuren. She is survived by her sons Steven Wilson (Beth) of Avon, Connecticut; Glenn Wilson, Gerard Wilson and daughter Shelene VanKuren (Dennis); grandchildren Andrea VanKuren; Ashley Wilson of San Francisco, California; Casey Baumlin (Jason); Caroline (Ben) Martini of Astoria, New York; and great grandchildren Jade, Ayden, Addison, Spencer, Oliver and November. Joyce was a member of Grace Point Church since 1968, graduate of Vestal Central School (1946) and Cortland Teacher’s College (1950). She earned her master’s degree in Early Childhood Development. Joyce enjoyed working with children through Sunday School, AWANA, foster care and her own nursery school for many years. She was a proud, long- time member of the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR). The family would like to thank the loving, caring staff at Willow Point Nursing Home where she resided since 2007.
A graveside service was held with Pastor Tim Dodd officiating. Thank you Grace Point Church for the luncheon and friendship following the service.
