Kelan Sue Pedley

January 29, 1959 — October 20, 2012

Kelly peacefully passed away early Saturday morning, after a courageous fight with kidney cancer. She was predeceased by her loving parents, Claire and Bill Thomas, her brother Tom, and her niece Desiree. She is survived by her son, Tom, who brought so much joy and love to her life; brother and sister in law, Rick and Diane Thomas; brother, Bill Thomas and Marie Thomas. She is also survived by her nephews, David, Jay and Jason; her niece, Kara and many relatives and even more friends. We know Kelly would like to thank the staff at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital and the nurses and staff at Ideal Living Center. Angels, really. A special thank you to Ruth and Amy. If you knew Kelly, you loved her within minutes of meeting her. She defied the odds so many times and had a strength of determination we all envied. Her interests were varied, but she was most proud of her role as mother and good friend. The world is a little less interesting without her in it. As per Kelly’s wishes, a Memorial Mass to honor her memory will be celebrated at St. Ambrose Church, 203 Washington Avenue, Endicott Thursday at 10 am. The family will receive friends at church Thursday from 9 am until Mass time at 10 am.
