Kelly Sepelak

On April 15th, Kelly Maureen (Peck) Sepelak, age 59, died at her home in Binghamton, NY with her family by her side. We will miss her piercing blue eyes, her stunning beauty (inside and out) and her unfettered sense of humor. Most of all, the world will miss the incredible impact she had on the lives of children and families throughout her career as a Physical Therapist in Early Intervention.
Kelly was born in Ithaca, NY to the former John and Shirley (Jamison) Peck. She is survived by her highschool sweetheart and husband, Edward R. Sepelak; daughters Tyler and Brooke (Matthew Scanlon); son Jamison (Nicole Whitney) and grandsons: Weston, Parker and Jamison Jr. She is predeceased by her eldest brother, Jack Peck, and leaves behind her siblings Galeynn Mihelc, Jennifer Vetromile, Laurie Falzone, Tim Peck and Steve Peck, along with many nieces, nephews, in-laws, and devoted friends.
Graduating from Maine-Endwell High School, Kelly went on to earn a Masters degree in Physical Therapy from SUNY Upstate Medical University. She devoted her career as a Physical Therapist to helping children and families in New York State, all of whom touched her life in countless ways. From the joy she saw in children’s eyes, excited at her arrival with a van full of toys, to the fulfilment of helping people when they were most in need, she made it her passion.
Kelly’s other great passion in life was the outdoors. She was a “Woodswoman” at heart. Whether she was walking the trails at home with her dogs, camping and hiking in the Adirondacks, or traveling to Alaska - she took every opportunity to enjoy nature and look for bears.
Kelly’s family extends enormous gratitude to her caregivers for their support throughout her struggles with Primary Progressive Aphasia (PPA).
In lieu of flowers the family asks that you take the time to educate yourself and others about Primary Progressive Aphasia (PPA) and Frontotemporal Degeneration (FTD).
