Keri L. Smith returned peacefully to God on February 21, 2015, with her family by her side. She was born on November 11, 1944, in Lansing, IN to Doris and Harvey Dean. She was a longtime resident of Endicott. Keri was an active member of the St. Paul Episcopal Church, heading the altar guild for many years. She was treasurer of the Antique Society of Broome County and participated in a local craft group. Above all, she was devoted to her family. She will be remembered for her loving nature, generosity, kindness and good humor. Keri is survived by her beloved husband of 50 years, William H. Smith; mother, Doris Dean; son, Rhett and daughter in law Ryan, grandchildren, Nora and Maxton; daughter, Heather and son-in-law Jon Schwerdtfeger, grandchildren, Owen, Maggie, Jon and Jake; and daughter, DeAnne. She was predeceased by her father, Harvey Dean, and her grandmother, Pauline Dean.
Funeral Services will be held Thursday at 12 pm at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church 200 Jefferson Avenue, Endicott. The family will receive friends at St. Paul’s Church on Thursday from 10:30 am until service time at 12 pm. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in her memory to the charity of one’s choice.
