Leola Miller

Leola M. Miller, 89, of Apalachin, NY, passed into God’s hands on Sunday, June 4, 2017 after a short illness. She was predeceased by her parents, two sisters and one brother, and her husband Eugene Miller after 37 years of marriage. She is survived by her son, Steve Cross (Debbie Drewry); her grandson Nathan Cross (Sue Barnhart) and her great granddaughter, Natalee Cross; her brother Donald LaPier (Gail); many nieces and nephews and many friends. Leola was a very caring and loving woman who’s greatest joy in life was her family. She worked hard all her life at many jobs and made plenty of friends throughout her life from her hometown of Plattsburgh to this area, where she stayed happily. The family would like to thank all the people from Meals on Wheels, Lourdes Hospice and Mercy House of the Southern Tier for all the wonderful care they took of Leola during her illness. At Leola’s request, there will be no calling hours or funeral service.
