Libra R. Vavra

Libra (Roma) Vavra, 90, of Endicott, passed away Thursday, September 13, 2012. She was predeceased by her parents Luigi and Leonora Roma; husband Steve in 1977; son in law Armando DiRado in 2009 and her brothers Dominick and Carlo Roma. Libra is survived by a daughter Mary Ann DiRado, Endicott; two sons and a daughter in law Steve and Debbie Vavra, Candor, NY and Richard Vavra, Endicott; her grandchildren Armond; Adam (Erin); Kimberly; Rebekah; Nicole and Lynsey; two sisters and a brother in law Margaret Parisi, Massachusetts and Mamie and Alfred Paniccia, Endicott; a brother Joseph Roma, New Jersey; sister in law Agnes Vavra, Endicott; also several; nieces; nephews and cousins, including a special nieces Ellie Roma. She was a member of St. Anthony of Padua Church, Endicott, a retired Endicott-Johnson Corp. employee and was a member of the Independent Mutual Aid Society. Libra also enjoyed the friendships she made at Yesteryears Senior Center.A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Monday 12 pm at St. Anthony of Padua Church, 306 Odell Avenue, Endicott. Entombment will be in Calvary Cemetery, Johnson City. The family will receive friends at church Monday from 10 am until Mass time at 12 pm.
