Linda Bisland

Linda Marie Bisland, 63, passed away peacefully at her home on April 25, 2014. She was predeceased by her parents Frank and Helen Palumbo and sister Concetta Grafton. She is survived by her husband, R. Bruce Bisland Jr.; her three children, Mandy Blackwell (James), Erica Bensley (Derek), Rivington Bisland III (Julia Baumberg); and six beloved grandchildren, Madison, Kaitlyn, Cali-Marie, Lakota, Riley-Jean and Ayden Rivington along with many nieces and nephews that she held dear to her heart. Linda enjoyed spending time tending to her gardens in the backyard and could often be seen walking her three cherished dogs Bailey, Jake, Charlie. The family would like to extend their heartfelt appreciation for the care and compassion Linda received over the years from the Doctors, Nurses and Staff at Broome Oncology and Hospice care.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 9:30 a.m. from the Allen Memorial Home, 511-513 East Main Street, Endicott followed by a Funeral Mass at Church of The Holy Family at 10 a.m. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Johnson City. The family will receive friends at the Allen Memorial Home Tuesday from 4-7 p.m. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy in Linda’s memory may be sent to Lourdes Hospice. …and never let it be said, “She lost her battle to lung cancer.” For any battle fought with courage, dignity and grace is never lost, but serves as a lesson in humility and inspiration to all.
