Lino Roma, 85, of Endicott, passed away surrounded by his family, Monday, December 15, 2014. He was predeceased by his parents Antonio and Maria; brothers Carmelo and Pippo; twin sister Adelina and brother in law Antonio Paniccia. He was a devoted husband, father and “Nonno” to his family, his wife Angela (Paniccia) Roma; daughter and son in law Maria and Matthew Brady; son and daughter in law Joe and Rita Roma, all of Endicott, his grandchildren, who were the joy and light of his life, Laura (Michael) Karlson; Tony (Kelley) Roma and Joshua and Nicholas Brady; two great grandchildren, who added much laughter and the will to hold on a little longer; Jacob and Domenic Karlson; two sisters Linda Roma and Ilda DePersis, and sister in law Gaetanina Roma, all of Italy; brother in law and sisters in law Quirino and Lucia Paniccia and Domenica Paniccia, all of Endicott; also several nieces; nephews; cousins and dear friends. Nonno held a special place in his heart for all the family pets. He was a member of St. Anthony of Padua Church, Endicott, a retired employee of Fred and John’s Landscaping and a member of the Duca Degli Abruzzi Lodge #443, Order Sons of Italy in America. The family would like to thank Sister Anisia for all her loving care, support and prayers.
Funeral Services will be held Thursday 9:30 am from the Allen Memorial Home, 511-513 East Main Street, Endicott, followed by a Funeral Mass at St. Anthony of Padua Church at 10 am. Entombment will be in Calvary Cemetery, Johnson City. The family will receive friends at the Allen Memorial Home Wednesday from 4-7 pm. Expressions of sympathy in his memory may be made to St. Francis Ministry, 906 Jenkins Street, Endicott, NY 13760 or Mercy House of the Southern Tier, 3600 Phyllis Street, Endwell, NY 13760.
