Lois Franks

Lois passed away peacefully on June 10, 2016 after a long illness. She is predeceased by her parents Charles and Thelma Wilson, her husband Paul Franks, her stepson Richard Franks, and her sister Eleanor Connelly. Lois is survived by her children Andrew Franks (wife Lesa) and Gayle Hidarjan (husband Ali), grandchildren Aaron and Amy Franks, brothers Lowell Wilson and Jerry Wilson, sister Deanne Wells, stepson Richard’s wife Belinda Knochel and her children Matthew and Anna, and many nieces and nephews. Lois was a lifetime resident of the Southern Tier, and she gave selflessly to her friends, family, neighbors, and community throughout her life. Lois had boundless energy, enthusiasm, and joyfulness that made a positive impact on everyone she encountered along her life’s journey. Lois was an inspiration to others who saw her as an example of caring, integrity, intelligence, wit, happiness, and making the most of one’s time here on earth. Lois was a very kind and compassionate woman, yet she was also admired for her strength and independence by those who knew her. If a life well-loved is a life well-lived, Lois lived very well indeed. She leaves a void in many lives that can never be replaced, but she will always be remembered and cherished.

Memorial Services will be held Saturday 1 pm from the Allen Memorial Home 511-513 East Main Street, Endicott, with the Reverend Daniel Eddings officiating. The family will receive friends at the Allen Memorial Home Saturday from 12 pm until service time at 1 pm.
