Lois Gonzalez

Lois J. (Welch) Gonzalez, 87, passed away Saturday, August 15, 2015. She was predeceased by two infant girls and one son; her parents, Merton and Myrtle Welch; four brothers Ed (Helen) Welch; Max (Marion) Welch; Philip (Mildred) Welch and Larry (Margaret) Welch; two sisters Irma LaBarre and Marilyn Galus. Lois is survived by her husband of 59 years Leo Paul Gonzalez; two sons Gregory Gonzalez (Tammie) and James Gonzalez; two daughters, Michele (Shelly) Schaffer (Eric) and Erin Gonzalez; one granddaughter; two grandsons; one great grandson; five great granddaughters; two brothers Leo (Betty) Welch and David (Stephanie) Welch; one sister in law Alice Brona; one sister in law’s spouse Cliff and one brother in law’s spouse Jean Anne also numerous nieces; nephews and cousins both in the USA and Canada. Lois was a 1st Lieutenant in the US Air Force Intelligence Division and was also a W.A.C. Commander. She graduated from Harpur College in 1952 with a Psychology Major.
Funeral services will be held Thursday at 12 pm from the Allen Memorial Home, 511-513 East Main Street, Endicott. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Endicott. The family will receive friends at the Allen Memorial Home Thursday from 10 am until service time at 12 pm.
