Loretta Miller

Loretta Belle (Crocker) Miller, formerly of Vestal, passed away at Binghamton General Hospital Thursday July 28, 2016. She was the daughter of the late Harold and Elizabeth (Tannert) Crocker. Loretta was predeceased by her loving husband Gerald D. Miller in 2001; her son Mark D. Miller in 2014 and life-long friend Janice (Collier) Pandich. She is survived by her devoted son and daughter in law Tracy and Eileen Miller of Binghamton and her beloved granddaughter Kathryn Miller of Binghamton. She is also survived by a daughter in law Caroline Miller and grandson Zackary Miller of Binghamton, two sisters Sharon (Charles)Shear of Binghamton and Joyce (Robert) Hamm of Kirkwood, a brother Robert Crocke; also several nieces and nephews including David and Janet Glassman of Endicott. Loretta was born on January 8, 1936 in Binghamton and grew up on Binghamton’s south side. She and Gerald were married on June 12, 1954 and lived for many happy years in their home on Bunn Hill Road in Vestal. She enjoyed gardening, seeking out and restoring antiques and hosting many pool parties for family and friends. She was a devoted wife and mother, but her greatest joy was being a grandmother to Kathryn and Zack who were the light of her life.

Funeral Services will be held Saturday 12 pm at the Allen Memorial Home, 511-513 East Main Street, Endicott with the Reverend David C. Seaver officiating. Interment will be in Vestal Hills Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the Allen Memorial Home Saturday from 10 am until service time 12 pm. Her family would like to thank the staff of Elizabeth Church Manor for their loving care of Loretta and the staff of Binghamton General Hospital who made her last days comfortable and peaceful.
