Lorraine Naro passed away peacefully at home in Endwell, Sunday, June 2, 2013. She was born January 1, 1930 in Scranton, PA to the late William and Helen Sovitch. She is predeceased by her husband of 36 years, George Naro, in 1989. She is survived by her seven children: Jim and Zee Naro, Rick and Mayumi Naro, Bill and Fran Naro, Mary Ellen and Ken Jennison, Judy and Bob Jaynes, Paul and Marti Naro, and Margie and Tom Suchyta. Lorraine was also blessed with 27 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren who brightened her life. Lorraine was a registered nurse who met and married her love, George, in 1952. Throughout their lives they balanced the tasks of raising seven children, actively participating in their church, carrying on their careers, and helping others. Lorraine and George were very fortunate to have special friendships which have lasted a lifetime, and the family wishes to thank everyone for their care and many prayers during her illness. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Wednesday 10 am from St. Ambrose Church. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Johnson City. The family will receive friends at the Allen Memorial Home 511-513 East Main Street, Endicott, Tuesday from 4-7 pm. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy in her memory may be made to the St. Ambrose Soup Kitchen, 203 Washington Avenue, Endicott, NY 13760.
