Lorraine Pasquino

Lorraine Pasquino, 90, of Endwell New York, passed away peacefully at home on December 19, 2020 with her family by her side.
She was born to the late Harvey and Rebecca Batten on Dec 28, 1929 in Norwood Massachusetts. After attending school in Norwood, Lorraine graduated from Westwood High in 1948.
She met the one and only love of her life, the late Lawrence Pasquino, while they both worked at the Tobe Deutschmann Corp. in Canton. She worked on the production floor… Larry was a junior engineer, and she recalled “trying to say something clever” every time he walked by. She often told us that she knew he was “the one” at first sight. She soon traded her beloved 1940-something yellow Plymouth convertible for a brand-new husband when they married at St. Mary’s Church in Franklin in 1957. The happy couple lived together in Stoughton for 2 years before relocating to upstate New York where Larry began a career at IBM. The car ended up in a scrapyard… Larry was a keeper.
Like so many moms in the 1960’s and 70’s, her world revolved around the family; Cub Scout den mother, PTA officer, hockey mom, and in-home taxi/seamstress/referee among her many roles. Fun time was filled with camping, holiday trips home to Norwood and great summer vacations. Her mac-n-cheese was the best, and the scalloped potatoes were not far behind. And oh yeah - her family will always remember the carrot pudding at Thanksgiving.
Later in life, Lorraine enjoyed watching Rangers hockey and movies starring anyone from Gene Kelly to Steven Seagal (now how’s that for an assortment ?). And she never forgot her once-in-a-lifetime trip to Italy with in-laws Anne, Al and Bobby Pasquino.
Lorraine is survived by two sons, Scott and Alan, daughters-in-law Leah and Mary, three grandchildren: Mark, Kristin and Jill, Kristin’s husband Matt Allen, and most recently a great-grandson Teddy. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews in Massachusetts, Rhode Island, New Hampshire, North Carolina, Florida and California as well as numerous relatives in Newfoundland Canada. She was predeceased by her parents, two brothers, Lloyd in 1951 and William in 2001, and her loving husband in 1979.
Lorraine never liked to be the center of attention, so a private service will be held at the convenience of the family at the Allen Memorial Home in Endicott. Because of Lorraine’s fondness for animals, the family asks that people make donations in support of your favorite local animal shelter in lieu of sending flowers.
