Louis Bennett

Louis F. Bennett age 63, of Endicott NY, passed away at home November 30, 2023. Louis is survived by his wife Velma Bennett and beloved dog Violet. He is predeceased by his parents Patsy and Eleanore Bennett Endicott, NY. Louis is survived by children: Charles (Abby) Bennett Utica, NY. Catherine Bennett Endicott, NY. Shain (Charity) Stone Ouaquaga, NY. Jasmine (Nick) Sadler Ouaquaga, NY. Sisters: Karen (Chet) Gural Syracuse, NY. Margaret Quezada Endicott, NY. Patricia (Donald) Burshnick Maine, NY. Brother: Joseph (Terry) Bennett Owego, NY and 13 Grandchildren and 3 Great-Grandchildren.
While in high school Louis enjoyed working at Butcher Boys for his Uncle Sam and Aunt Marie. After Butcher Boys he worked as a mason laborer for Agostino Ciotoli where he worked with Ralph Mancini and Chris Putrino both life long friends. Louis joined the Army straight out of high school where he reached the rank of Sergeant and was Honorably discharged from A Company, Second Battalion, 5th Cavalry, 1st Cavalry Division. Louis retired from Union Endicott School District, where he met his loving wife. He enjoyed making wine with his family every year and even won first place at St. Anthony’s in 2009. Louis was a member of the Sons of Italy Duca Degli Abruzzi Lodge Endicott, NY. In his younger years Louis enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping and paint balling with his family.
The family will receive friends at the Allen Memorial Home, 511-513 East Main Street, Endicott, Friday, December 8th from 10 am concluding with Military Honors at 12 pm. Burial will be in South Windsor Cemetery, Windsor, NY at the convenience of the family.
