Lucille S. Frazier, 90, of Forest Lake, PA, passed away Saturday, December 7, 2013, with her loving husband of 67 years by her side. She was predeceased by a son Gregory in 2012. She is survived by her husband, Graydon “Stub” Frazier, Forest Lake PA; a daughter and son-in-law, Judy and John Black, Endwell, NY; three sons and a daughter-in-law, Dr. Joel Frazier, Oklahoma City, OK; Dr. Jon and Julie Frazier, Newburgh, IN, and Dr. James Frazier and his spouse Brian McCarthy, Chicago, IL; nine grandchildren Douglas, Amanda, Geoffrey, Tara, Derek, Nicholas, Isabelle, Sarah, and Elizabeth: five great grandchildren Fiona, Garrett, Cameron, Alec and Briella; two sisters, Darlene Dibs, California; and Helen Kamas, Washington; a brother George Kamas, Nebraska; also several nieces and nephews and special friends Mark and Grace Deno. She was a member of First United Methodist Church, Endicott, NY. Lucille devoted a lot of time to promote and teach church youth group supporters. Lucille graduated from Swedish Memorial Hospital, Minneapolis, MN. She served in the US Army Medical Corps, in Japan, as a surgical nurse, where she met her husband. Upon returning home she married the love of her life Stub. She worked at Wilson Memorial Hospital as a Charge Nurse in the Pediatrics Unit. Later owned and managed Stoney Ridge Farms which bred and trained Arabian horses as well as riders. Highly respected in the horse show world, Lucille was President of the Empire State Arabian Association, and also President of the National Show Horse Association. After retiring from the farm she was co-owner and secretary of Frazier and Son Builders, and up until recently still “overseeing” operations at Graydon Apartments.
Funeral services will be held Friday at 11 am at the Allen Memorial Home, 511-513 East Main Street, Endicott, with the Reverend Dale Austin, Pastor of her Church officiating. Burial will be in Riverhurst Cemetery, Endicott. The family will receive friends at the Allen Memorial Home Thursday from 4-7 pm.
