Lukas Matthew Klees: 35, passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, February 21st, 2021, from cancer. He was surrounded by his loving family. Lukas earned his PhD in Organic Chemistry from Binghamton University. He was very proud of his contributions to medical research seeking cures for Alzheimer’s Disease and Cancer. He was an avid board gamer and loved spending time with his family.
Calling Hours: Thursday, 5-7 PM at Allen Memorial Home 511 E Main Street Endicott, NY 13760.
Funeral Mass: Celebrated on Friday at 11 AM at The Parish of Saints John and Andrew Catholic Church, 1263 Vestal Avenue, Binghamton, NY. Burial will be at a later date at St. Augustine’s Cemetery, Silver Lake, PA.
Survived by: Father, Theodore Klees, Mother, Virginia Klees and partner, Jeff Golden, brother, Joshua Klees and wife, Jacquelyn Klees, sister, Rachel Klees and partner, Bryan Keller, brother, Jacob Klees, niece and nephew, ReAnn and Sawyer, and many beloved aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
Predeceased by: Grandparents, William and Lucille Buchler, Albert and Janet Klees. Cousin, Ashley Wanatt.
Donations: In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made in Luke’s honor to the American Cancer Society or Alzheimer’s Research Foundation.
