M. Edward (Ed) Welch Iii

M. Edward Welch Ill (Ed) of Endicott, NY passed away unexpectedly on August 20, 2024. He was born at Ideal Hospital on August 28, 1951. Ed was predeceased by his parents, M. Edward Welch Jr. and Helen T. Welch and his sister, Pamela J. Magargle. Ed is survived by his sisters, Cynthia A. Gallo, Marietta, GA and Faye Welch (Tracie), Cortland, NY and his brother Robert (LoriAnne) Welch, Brackney, PA and many nieces and nephews.
He was a lifelong resident of Endicott and graduated from Union-Endicott High School in 1970. Ed was a dedicated employee of Lourdes Hospital, Ascension and
Guthrie for 52 years having retired earlier this year. He was a big fan of the New York Giants, the New York Mets and the Boston Celtics. Elvis Presley was truly the "King" to Ed. He enjoyed every movie and song by Elvis. For many years he was involved in a bowling league at Ideal Lanes in Endicott and was a member of the Lourdes Hospital softball team.
Burial will be in Riverhurst Cemetery at the convenience of the family. A celebration of Ed's life will take place at noon on Saturday, September 28 at the Endicott Elks Lodge #1977, 619 N. Nanticoke Avenue, Endicott, NY.
