We would like to let you know that Madeline’s work here is done. She received a calling, one that she could not refuse. This assignment comes with a huge bonus, a reunion with precious family and friends she has not seen in a very long time.
Nothing was more important to Madeline than her family, and she loved the local community. Madeline raised four beautiful children and treasured her grandchildren. She was smart, well-read, always wanted to learn and see new things, and strived to be her best self in every manner. She really enjoyed family vacations for years in Ocean City, MD, and later spending winters in Tampa and Delray Beach, FL. She was extremely creative and could paint, recreate and put her artistic loving touch on any card, gift, or project and it manifested itself in many ways in the household.
Madeline graduated from Union Endicott High School and then attended Practical Nursing School.
Madeline is predeceased and welcomed into her heavenly home by her parents, Helen and William Kostun, son, Michael Matthews, brother, Bill Kostun, sister, Lorraine Matthews, and niece, Kelly LaBare. Madeline is survived by her loving husband, Daniel Matthews; children, Sherey Matthews, Debbie (Keven) Loveland, and Dan Matthews; grandchildren, Karlie and Ryan Loveland; sister, Nancy (Gene) LaBare; sisters-in-law, Lucille (Nick) DeBlasio and Helen (Bill) Kostun; nieces, Kimberly (Michael) Kostun-Senape and Tracy DeBlasio; nephews, Byron LaBare, Billy and Dennis Kostun, and Nick DeBlasio, and many other relatives she dearly loved.
