Malinda I. Brasser, 91 years of age, of Endicott, New York, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, April 20, 2023.
She was born in Newcastle, PA and grew up there. After attending Practical Bible Training School, she married George L. Brasser in 1954 and served as a pastor’s wife with George as they ministered in local churches in Pennsylvania, Florida, and New York for 45 years. They retired to Endicott in 1999. She then developed an active craft business, Attic Country Treasures, and spent many years making uniquely wonderful craft items sold at arts and crafts shows throughout the northeast.
As a pastor’s wife, Malinda shared George’s ministry and shepherding of their congregations, with a special love and concern for the ladies and families of their churches. Through her love for people and God’s grace, lives were changed in the communities of East Lawrence PA, Austinville PA, and Sunbury PA, Lake Wales FL, and Rapids NY and Elmira Heights NY.
Malinda was pre-deceased by her husband George, her mother Ella Newton, her sister Jean Morrow Lambright and brother William Newton.
Malinda is survived by her brother Don Newton, her daughters, Susan Korcipa (Russell Winters) and Georgia (David) Page, grandchildren April Youngs, Alyssa (Ben) Webber, Stephanie (Jeffrey) Steidle, and Eric Page, as well as five great-grandchildren.
The family will hold a celebration of life/memorial service for Malinda later.
Memorial gifts may be made in her name to Jewish Awareness Ministries at jewishawareness.org.
