Maria Carroll

Maria Prezioso Carroll, 64, of Endicott, NY, passed away peacefully at home in the early morning of Wednesday, February 12, 2025, after a long battle with dementia, surrounded by her loving family and friends.
Maria was born on April 24, 1960, in Bojano, Italy, and raised with her family in Jersey City, New Jersey. Maria has called Endicott New York home for over 30 years.
She was predeceased by her beloved father, Mario Prezioso. Maria is survived by her devoted husband of 40 years, Deacon Michael Carroll; her cherished sons, Michael Jr., Mario, and Mitchel; her loving mother, Christina Prezioso; her brothers, John and Nick Prezioso; her daughter-in-law, Samantha Carroll; and her adored grandchildren, River, Fox, and Sonny Carroll.
Maria dedicated her professional life to serving others in her community, guided by her deep Catholic faith. She touched many lives as the Volunteer Coordinator for Lourdes Hospice and as a caseworker for Parents and Children Together. Her faith was the cornerstone of her life, and she was an active member of Our Lady of Good Counsel Parish, serving with devotion in the Altar Rosary Society, the RCIA team, as a Eucharistic Minister, and as a Religious Education teacher.
Maria was a radiant presence—a true light in the world—who poured her love into her family, friends, and parish community. She will be remembered for her unwavering kindness, generosity, and deep compassion for others.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated 11 am, Wednesday, February 19, at Our Lady of Good Counsel Church, 700 West Main Street, Endicott. Burial will be in Vestal Hills Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends at church, Wednesday, February 19 from 9:30 am until Mass time at 11 am.
In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made in Maria’s name to Hospice or the Alzheimer’s Foundation.
