Maria Lambrinos of Endicott, NY went to be with the Lord on Saturday, April 1, 2023. She was born on March 15, 1925 in the village of Mistra in Sparta, Greece to Dimitri and Georgia Maniates. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband James Lambrinos, brother Nicolas Maniatis of Montreal, Canada and brother-in-law Demetrios Vorgias of Sparta, Greece.
Maria is survived by her daughters Antoinette (Carey) Livingston of Denton, TX and Francine (Steve) Floody of Loudon, TN; 3 grandchildren Mark (Tami) Floody of Omaha, NE, Kimberly (Jay) Kettler of Gretna, NE, Colleen Sutterfield of Broomfield, CO; 2 step grandsons Randy (Alicia) Livingston of Plymouth, MN and Jon Livingston of Duluth, MN; 6 great-grandchildren and 3 step great-grandchildren; 2 step great-great-grandchildren; brother Dinos (Mando) Maniates of Binghamton; sisters Potoula (George) Dounia and Anna Vorgias of Sparta, Greece; sister-in-law Dina Maniatis of Montreal, Canada and many nephews, nieces, cousins in Binghamton, NY, Canada, and Greece. She was a wonderful Mom, YiaYia, Youka, Thea Maria, and Nouna to her family/godchildren and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
She was a member of the Greek Orthodox Church of the Annunciation and Ladies Philoptochos in Vestal, NY. She led a life as a devoted Christian having a strong faith in God. She enjoyed playing Bingo with dear friends over the years, cooking, sewing, crocheting, knitting and blessing many with what she made. The family would like to thank those who stopped by to see her, the aides from the former Susquehanna Home Care and CareGivers of Binghamton who cared for her while she was home bound; the kind hearted drivers from Regional Health Transport LLC (Serafini) who transported her to medical appointments, staff at Fidelis, doctors and nurses at Lourdes who cared for her medical needs and to the doctors, nurses and staff at Mercy House of the Southern Tier who compassionately administered transitioning care.
The family will receive family and friends at the Greek Orthodox Church of the Annunciation, 4121 O’Hara Dr., Vestal, NY 13850 on Friday, April 7, 2023 from 9:00 a.m. until 9:30 a.m. Funeral Services will follow with Dr. Rev. Michael Bahlatzis officiating. Burial will be in Riverhurst Cemetery, Endwell.
