Marian Ruth Burr

Marian Ruth (Springsteen) Burr, passed away Sunday, November 15, 2015. She was born to the late Rena and Harry Springsteen of Windsor, NY on November 6, 1919. Married to Charles J. Burr in July 1944, they lived in Binghamton, where they raised their three children and enjoyed over fifty years of marriage together. Marian was a cherished mother, beloved grandmother and great grandmother. Marian was predeceased in death by her husband, Charles, and her brother, Roland D. Springsteen of Ouaquaga. She is survived by her three loving children, sons Charles Clark Burr (Joanne) of Laurel Lake, Melvin Owen Burr (Donna) of Binghamton and daughter Cheryl Ann Burr of Florida. She leaves behind seven grandchildren, Chuck Burr (Joy) of Binghamton, Katrina Parkhill (Homer) of Connecticut, Candice Verga (Nick) of Florida, Adele League (Jamie) of North Carolina, Lori Freed of Florida, Kim Ligeikis (Derek) of Virginia and Michael Burr (Jennifer) of Binghamton as well as fifteen great grandchildren.

A private family memorial service was held Monday, November 23, 2015 at the Allen Memorial Home, Endicott. Memorial donations in Marian’s memory may be made to Alzheimer’s Association, 401 Hayes Avenue, Endicott, NY 13760.
