Marie Rita

Marie F. Rita, 80, left this world peacefully for eternal life on August 9, 2014. She was surrounded by her family. Marie was predeceased by her husband, Alex J. Rita and sisters, Lena DiRusso, Virginia Normile and Jennie Goydich. She is survived by her son, Joseph Rita and daughter in-law, Joy Rita, Endicott; her son, Alex Rita and daughter in-law, Julie Rita, Eden Prairie, MN; her grandchildren, Alex C. Rita and Alyssa Rita. Also her sister, Josephine Terregrossa, and many loved nieces and nephews. Marie was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She was very devoted to her family and friends and treasured their many gatherings. A proud woman of Italian descent, she was renowned for her baking talents which she generously offered to all for any occasion. The family extends special thanks to the Ideal Senior Living Center Daisy Court staff for their care and support over the years.
A Funeral Mass will be clebrated Thursday, August 14, 2014, at 11 am at St. Anthony of Padua Church, 306 Odell Avenue, Endicott. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery, Johnson City. The family will receive friends at the church Thursday from 10 am until Mass time at 11 am.
