Marion E. Cianciosi

April 2, 1926 — March 7, 2025

Marion E Cianciosi, 98, of Endwell, NY, passed away peacefully on March 7, 2025.
Born on April 2, 1926, Marion was the sixth child of Ralphael and Angelina Pisani’s seven children. Within that family, Marion’s parents instilled in her values of deep faith, and a strong work ethic, which became the foundation for her life.
During WW II, while her brothers were away serving our country in military service, Marion worked with her father to keep the Pisani family tailoring and dry-cleaning business in Endicott, NY operating. It was also in Endicott where Marion met her husband of 45 years, Armand A Cianciosi. Following the War, Armand and Marion would marry and begin their lives together, which grew to include their family of three sons, Francis, Gary, and Armand R.
As their sons grew, Marion entered into a career in Real Estate. It was a career that was filled with passion, commitment, service, and much success. Marion quickly embraced the trust that her clients placed in her, and treated them both professionally and compassionately, working on their behalf as if they were members of her own family. It was this work ethic that resulted in Marion annually being acknowledged with awards as a Top Salesperson. In the highest appreciation one can receive, the trust Marion earned resulted in business referrals from former clients well into her 70’s and early 80’s. She would often say; “I have to stay busy.”
One of Marion’s most memorable achievements came when she was recognized as New York State Realtor of the Year. This honor was not only in recognition of her sales achievements, but also of Marion’s efforts within the community in which she lived, worked, and represented with great pride. She was involved as both a volunteer and a Board Member for many initiatives including but not limited to; “Neighborhood Watch Program” for safety, “Camp Good Days” for kids with cancer, NYS Board of Realtors, and The BC Open PGA Golf Tournament.
Marion’s greatest passions were; Faith, Family, and Friends. Marion’s lifelong membership to the First Presbyterian Church of Endicott began when her mother Angelina became a member while taking English speaking classes. Marion shared her love of music while joining the church choir, which she remained a member of for many decades. Marion’s deep faith was rooted in a non-denominational respect for all who believed in God.
The Cianciosi home (with Marion’s oversight and Armand’s full support!) was always open to family and friends. An “impromptu” dinner or “It’s Cocktail Hour” were always welcomed events. Her love for “Tradition” has been instilled into the generations of family that follow our “Mom and Nana”. Those “Traditions” include; “Sunday Sauce,” “Christmas Eve and Seven Fishes”, “Spaghetti with just Oil and Garlic”, an “Extra Dry” Martini (i.e. just Gin with a couple of olives), and many other fond memories that we know will be celebrated and remembered for years to come.
Most importantly, Marion’s family’s friends soon became “Marion’s Friends” …she made certain of it!
Predeceased by Marion are her husband, Armand A Cianciosi. Her parents Raphael and Angelina Pisani. Her brothers; Bruno Pisani, George Pisani, Anthony Pisani, Humbert Pisani, sisters; Viola (Pisani) Dixon and Norma (Pisani) Brindisi. Her daughter In-Law, Jeanine (Fanara) Cianciosi.
Surviving Marion are her three sons; Francis Cianciosi (Deborah), Gary Cianciosi, Armand Cianciosi (Denise). Her grandchildren; Sam Cianciosi, Anthony Cianciosi (Heather), Alexandra (Cianciosi) Walz (Chad), Christina (Cianciosi) Sheridan (Philip), Benjamin Cianciosi (Marta Lulewicz), Theodore Cianciosi, and Emily Cianciosi. Great Grand Children; Jonathan Cianciosi, Joshua Cianciosi.
The family will receive friends at the Allen Memorial Home, 511-513, Main Street, Endicott, Tuesday, March 18th, from 10:00am, until service time at 11:00am.
In lieu of flowers, and recognition of all of the love and care given to Marion and the Cianciosi family over the past recent years by the staff at both the St. Louise Manor and Elizabeth Church Manor, the family requests donations may be made in Marion’s honor to: United Methodist Home Foundation, 10 Acre Place, Binghamton, NY 13904.
