After a long struggle with dementia Marjorie Moore Doughan, beloved mother of three, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Thursday September 22. She was eighty-six. Born to Marie and Dr. Frank Guy Moore, Marjorie graduated from Union Endicott High School where she was proud to have represented the UE Tigers as a cheerleader. Subsequently she earned a Bachelor of Arts from Wellesley College majoring in Art History. While attending Wellesley she met her husband James. They settled in New Jersey and raised their three children. Marjorie was a devoted mother and a great lover of dogs. She was quick of wit, feisty in spirit, loved a good book, and routinely completed the New York Times Sunday crossword in under an hour, usually in ink. Her love of interior design and gardening made her a great friend to contractors and landscapers alike. She loved a good party, sweet Manhattans and meeting new people. She had many good friends, but none closer or more loyal than her best friend Anne who accompanied Marjorie on many adventures near and far. Predeceased by her parents Dr. Frank G. Moore and Marie H. Moore as well as her brother Robert J. Moore (Sheila). Marjorie is survived by her three loving children Beth, Joe (Cheryl), and Jim (Patti); six grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren as well as her Brother Donald F. Moore (Carol Dey) and many nieces and nephews. She will be dearly missed by all.
