Martha Colombo

After a courageous battle with cancer, Martha Mary Micak Colombo peacefully left this world surrounded by her loving family on June 4, 2022 at the age of 77.
Martha was born on September 7, 1944 to Mary and John Micak in Czechoslovakia. At the age of four Martha emigrated with her family to Manhattan, New York. It was later in Greenpoint, Brooklyn that she and her husband, Carmine, started and raised their family, before eventually moving to the Catskills and then ultimately moving to Endicott, NY, where Martha spent her last years. Martha had an obvious joy for life and always tried to live each day to its fullest without regrets. She adored music until her last moments, singing along to her favorites: Elvis, Sinatra and Doris Day. Martha and Carmine were always the first to get up to dance: forever the life of the party and the center of the conversation. Of all her achievements, her greatest accomplishment was her beautiful and bold family, whom she loved dearly and fiercely and cherished above all.
Martha is predeceased by her parents Mary and John Micak.
Left to cherish her memories are her loving and devoted husband of 62 years, Carmine; her loving brother George and his wife Marie; her adoring children Richard and his wife Marga; James and his wife Colleen; Karen; Carmine, Jr. and his partner, Maureen; Cynthia and her husband, Cono; Candace and her husband, Carlos; Dominic and his wife, Kim; Jacqueline and her partner, Joseph; her 14 beautiful grandchildren, and her 17 lovely great-grandchildren; and her many wonderful nieces and nephews.
Martha will be remembered by all who loved her for her honesty and loyalty, her ability to listen when you needed someone to talk to without judgment, her laugh, her smile, and her strong, loving eyes.
Viewing hours will be held at the Allen Memorial Home 511-513 East Main Street, Endicott, Wednesday from 1 pm until service time at 4 pm. In lieu of flowers, we ask that you please donate to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, a charity that Martha donated to for many years.
