Mary Frances Gerchman

Mary Frances Gerchman of Endicott NY at 89 years of age passed away at Ideal Senior Living Center on January 3, 2024.
Mary was predeceased by loving parents Tony and Angela Gerchman; brothers Anthony Gerchman, Carl and his wife Delores Gerchman, Thomas and his wife Ruth Gerchman, Joseph Gerchman; and nephew Thomas Gerchman. She is survived by sister-in-law Evelyn Gerchman; nieces Michele and husband Angelo Carione, Amy Young, and Cindy and husband Frank Wood; nephews Mitchel and Joseph Gerchman; and numerous great nieces and nephews.
Mary was born and raised in Forest City, PA and graduated from Marywood College. She taught first grade at the Maine Endwell Schools for 34 years. She was a member of the St. Ambrose Church and the Church of the Holy Family. Mary was very strong in her faith and devoted to family and friends. She volunteered at the food pantry and various other charitable organizations after she retired from teaching. She loved to go for rides in the country, traveling and cooking.
Mary lived a full and rewarding life and will be greatly missed by family and friends.
A Funeral Mass for Mary will be held Monday, January 8 at 11 am at St. Ambrose Church, 203 Washington Avenue, Endicott. Entombment will be in Calvary Cemetery, Johnson City. The family will receive friends Monday at Church from 10 am until Mass time at 11 am.
