Maryanne Donnelly

Maryanne Donnelly, 66, died unexpectedly on December 29, 2016 after a brief illness and is now in the arms of her Lord. She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Jerome, and her parents, Harry and Kathleen Mattimore. She was the fun “big sister” to Joseph Mattimore (Rhonda), Jane Hashey, John Mattimore (Maureen), Nancy Fuller (Bill), Eileen Mushalla (Mark), Thomas Mattimore (Angel), and Teresa Snedaker (Carl). She was a very special and loved aunt to her twenty four nieces and nephews and their spouses and children. Maryanne had a kind and generous heart and a true love of life, enjoying hikes with her dog Peaches, going to movies and plays, traveling, joining her fellow Vestal High School grads at monthly reunion club meetings, and simply being with her friends and family. Maryanne was the life of any party. After retirement as a librarian, she began a career in comedy, performing in NYC, Rochester, Buffalo, Syracuse and locally. She always supported and encouraged her fellow comedians. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Tuesday 10 am at St. Vincent de Paul/Blessed Sacrament, 465 Clubhouse Road, Vestal. The family will receive friends at the Allen Memorial Home, 511-513 East Main Street, Endicott Monday from 4-7 pm. The family is very grateful for the wonderful care the Lourdes ICU staff gave to Maryanne in her last days.
