Matthew John Titman passed away on March 2, 2018, losing his ongoing battle to addiction. He was predeceased by his grandparents Kenneth and Eleanor Titman and Iva and Wendell Silvernail and his best friend Phil Diaferio. He is survived by his parents Gary and Tricia Titman, and his sisters Sarah (Eric) Hopkins, and Rebekah Titman (Matthew Wood), the loves of his life niece, Ella and nephew, Logan and his truest love, Penny. He is also survived by his Aunt Ellen Ward, and Uncle Terry Titman (Marybeth) and many loving cousins. Finally, he is survived by his brothers of Bandit Platoon. Addiction is a horrible disease that has taken the lives of too many people, but it did not define who Matthew was. Children and adults alike have always been drawn to Matt’s charismatic personality. Matt was caring, compassionate and kind beyond the benefit of a doubt. Matthew was an avid sports fan, he loved his NY Yankees and his Green Bay Packers. Matthew truly shined during the time he served in the 172 Infantry Brigade, Blackhawks.
Funeral Services will be held Thursday 12 pm at the Allen Memorial Home, 511-513 East Main Street, Endicott, with the Reverend Robert Peak officiating. The family will receive friends at the Allen Memorial Home Wednesday from 4-7 pm. In lieu of flowers Matthew would prefer that you consider donating to a scholarship fund for Ella and Logan Hopkins, c/o Sarah Hopkins. If love could cure addiction, you’d still be here.
