Maxine Farro

Mom passed away peacefully August 18, 2015 after a brief illness. She was born at Morris Manor Farms, Morris, NY. She is predeceased by her grandparents and parents. She is survived by her two sons and their families: Doug (Patty) and Dana (Shelly). Her grandchildren, Amanda (Garrett) Sweezy, Amy Farro, Michael Farro and Kaleigh Farro, She is also survived by a sister, Joan Collins, and nieces Sharel and Carlette. Maxine was employed by Broome County Health Department for 20 years and the National College, Evanston, IL. She also enjoyed, painting, jigsaw puzzles, watching Amanda and Amy play ME field hockey games from her Marian Apartment window, and Michael and K play ball for Vestal. She loved watching sports … Especially the NY Yankees and Syracuse Basketball. We are hoping that they receive the YES Network in heaven. As an avid reader, she eagerly anticipated the monthly visit of the Cyber mobile and was thrilled when an outing to Tioga Downs was planned. The family wishes to thank the Doctors, Nurses and staff of Lourdes Hospital, especially in ICU for their outstanding care and compassion for both Mom and our family.
