Mercedes Porcari

Mercedes Porcari, 83, of Endicott, died at Wilson Memorial Hospital, Tuesday, March 3, 2015. She was predeceased by her husband Giorgio; parents Antonio and Luigia Campagna; sister Solidea (Leonardo) Stella and a brother Francesco. She is survived by a daughter Sandra Porcari, Salisbury, NC; a son Francesco, Endicott; sisters Marcella; Franca and Luciana; also several nieces; nephews; cousins and in laws. She was a member of St. Anthony of Padua Church, Endicott and a retired Endicott-Johnson Corp. employee. Some of her enjoyments in life were family, cooking and baking and game shows. Her radiant smile and sense of humor will be missed by all who knew her. Mercedes’ family would like to thank her care givers Amy Hess, Salsbury, NC; Carole Kelly, Johnson City; Doctors Seifert and Susan Choi and the ICU staff at Wilson Memorial Hospital, especially Meghan; Maria and Courtney.
Funeral Services will be held Tuesday 9:30 am from the Allen Memorial Home, 511-513 East Main Street, Endicott, followed by a Funeral Mass at St. Anthony of Padua Church at 10 am. Entombment will be in Calvary Cemetery, Johnson City. The family will receive friends at the Allen Memorial Home Monday from 4-7 pm.
