Michael Rallo

Michael L. Rallo, 69, of Kirkwood, NY, passed away Saturday, May 13, 2023 after a long illness. Michael was predeceased by his parents, Paul and Margaret Rallo, his sister, Janet Rallo Tompkins, and his nephew, Peter Tompkins. Michael is survived by his sister, Nancy Rallo of Apalachin, his niece, Rachel Boylan of NYC, his nephews: Paul Boylan of Binghamton and Patrick Carmichael of Apalachin, and close friend, John Ott of Kirkwood.
Michael was an extremely talented artist who produced many drawings, cartoons and crafts. Those who have any of his creations know just how talented he was. He was the fun uncle, who loved to draw, color, and craft with his niece and nephews when they were young children. He was known for his perfect handwritten printing. Michael had a tremendous sense of humor and kept his family laughing even throughout the most difficult of times.
Michael’s home was his sanctuary and he was happiest tending to his property, plants, pond, and gardens, as well as feeding the wildlife who visited him daily. His favorites were his giant, well-fed crows. Throughout his lifetime he had a huge assortment of pets, including dogs, cats, birds, fish, turtles, and guinea pigs. All our family pets loved him the most.
He was a Beatles fan and had a huge collection of Dam trolls.
Most of all, Michael loved his family. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. We were all very lucky to have him in our lives.
There will be no services, per his request. Memorial donations in Michael’s memory may be made to an animal rescue or shelter of your choice.
