Miriam Mcpherson

Miriam (Kocik) McPherson, 83, passed away peacefully May 18, 2024. She was born July 11, 1940 in Binghamton, NY to the late John Kocik, Sr. and Anne (Hnatko) Kocik. She was predeceased by her husband, Donald L. McPherson, Sr. She is survived by her children Stacey (Dan) Taraszewski, Renee (John Fisher) McPherson, Donald McPherson Jr. and her three grandchildren Nicholas Taraszewski, Lillian Taraszewski and Maya McPherson.
Miriam was a 1958 graduate of St. Cyril and Methodious Academy, Danville, Pa., attended Broome Community College and was an employee of IBM, Owego, NY. When her children were born, she became a “stay at home mom”. Later, she became the owner and operator of Copy Cat Secretarial Services, Endicott, NY.
Miriam lived life to the fullest and enjoyed staying busy. She loved to read, do puzzles and play scrabble. Miriam was an excellent cook and had a passion for baking. She enjoyed sharing her homemade treats with family and friends during the holidays. You felt the love when that plate of cookies arrived on your doorstep at Christmas time. She made friends wherever she went and was loved by all who knew her.
The family would like to especially thank the staff at Hillside Assisted Living, Keller, TX, for all the wonderful care they provided.
Family will receive friends Saturday, June 29th from 9:00-11:00 am at Allen Memorial Home, 511-513 East Main Street, Endicott. Entombment will follow in Riverhurst Cemetery, Endicott.
