Myrtle Williams

Myrtle (Betty) Williams of Binghamton, NY went to be with the Lord on Monday February 20, 2017, at the age of 85. She is survived by her three children; Kenneth R Williams Jr. and wife Diane of Murrieta, Ca., Kelly White and husband Bruce of Binghamton, NY, Michael Williams and wife Kari of Dover, NH; her three grandchildren; Elise White, Nikolas Hendrickson and Mikayla Williams; her sister-in-law; Patricia Marsinko and Husband Carl; her nieces and nephews; Kim Marsinko, Kristen and Nick Conlin, Debbie and Ed Ucci, Kevin and Lisa O’Neil, Nancy and Ted Loomis, John and Pam Ward, Tricia and Michael Decker; and her special cousins Patricia O’Neil and family. She was employed by Vail Ballou Press in Kirkwood until leaving to be at home with her three children. She dedicated her life to caring for and helping the people around her. She had a kind, gentle spirit with a heart and smile that bore witness to the truth and depth of her beauty. She loved the time spent with her family, especially her wonderful grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband Kenneth R. Williams Sr., Parents; George and Myrtle O’Neil, Sisters; Mary, Catherine and Janet O’Neil, Margaret Ward and husband Jack, Rita Jacques and husband Rex, brothers; Mark O’Neil, James O’Neil and wife Eleanor. The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Dr. M. Barrett and staff, the caring nurses and staff at Lourdes Hospital, and the staff at Good Shepherd Fairview for their loving care during her final weeks.
A celebration of Myrtle’s life will be held this summer. In lieu of flowers, the family would greatly appreciate that a good deed or kind gesture be performed, for a loved one or a stranger, in loving memory of Myrtle.
