Nancy Mcintyre

Nancy H. McIntyre, 83, of Endicott, NY passed away peacefully on June 15, 2018. Nancy was born to Charles and Henrietta Hughes on March 20th, 1935 in Utica, New York, and graduated from New Hartford High School in 1952. She married Charles McIntyre, in 1955 and they lived together in New Hartford, NY and later in Endicott NY. Together they raised three children. She was preceded in death by Gregery, (her son), Charles Hughes, (her father), and Henrietta Hughes, (her mother). She leaves as her legacy her husband of 63 years Charles, her daughter Ellen (Charlie) Heidelberg of Cornwall, NY, her son Jeffery (Elaine) of Dewitt, NY, her grandchildren, Matthew, Christopher, Alicia, Michael and Kaitlyn, as well as several nieces and nephews. Nancy was a loving and devoted mother and grandmother. Also having a special place in her heart are her former daughter-in-law Sue McIntyre, long-time friend Bob Lombardo and the staff at the Blue Dolphin. Nancy was an artist in many different media. She was highly accomplished in the field of artistic ceramics and operated a very successful studio for many years. She was often recognized by the Southern Tier Ceramics Guild for her creativity and instructional talent.
Calling Hours will be held at Allen Memorial Home, 511-513 East Main Street, Endicott on Tuesday June 26th beginning at noon until the time of a Christian Funeral Service at 1 pm, followed by a brief graveside service at Riverhurst Cemetery, Endicott. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Muscular Dystrophy Association in memory of Greg McIntyre. The family would also like to thank the staff at Ideal Senior Living Center for their professional care.
