Opal Kuehner

Opal (Murphey) Kuehner, 89, of Endwell, passed away peacefully on October 27, with her loving and devoted daughters Debra, Melody and Judy at her side. Opal was raised in Vestal and was a graduate of the Vestal class of 1952. She was a proud Vestal cheerleader and fondly remembered cheering at the very first Vestal-Union Endicott football game. Her greatest joy and memories were spending summers for over 20 years in Alexandria Bay in the 1000 Islands. Opal and her daughters formed many treasured friendships at “The River” where she was best known as “Mama” to our “Riveredge family”. Mom was a very generous and giving person and it made her happy to do for others. We love you dearly Mom but your work here is done and now it is time for you to rest in the peace you so deserve.
Private funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family.
