Orazia “Graziella” Pittarelli (Pepe), February 8, 1943 – December 21, 2024, , a cherished wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away unexpectedly on December 21, 2024. Her passing has left a profound sense of loss among all who knew and loved her.
Graziella was born in 1943 in Campochiaro, Italy. In 1962, she married her husband, Luigi Pittarelli. Shortly afterward, she immigrated to the United States to begin a new life.
Graziella brought her skill and passion as a seamstress with her, continuing her trade working in Drazen’s, Alexander Harvey, Shapiro, JCPenney, and Bon-Ton, while simultaneously raising her children, keeping an immaculate home, and cooking countless meals that brought her family together. Her talent for sewing and her ability to create beautiful garments were matched only by her talent for creating a warm and loving home.
Equally remarkable was her deep love for cooking, which became legendary within her family. She was known for ensuring that everyone around her was well-fed, lovingly “hounding” them to make sure they had eaten. Her exceptional skills as a seamstress and her dedication to her family made her the glue that held everyone together. Graziella's infectious smile could light up any room, bringing warmth and comfort to all who knew her.
She lived by the philosophy: “Be proud of who you are and push yourself to be the best.” Her legacy of love, strength, selflessness, and kindness will continue to inspire all who were fortunate to know her. Her memory will be treasured always.
She is survived by her beloved and devoted husband, Luigi Pittarelli, who shared a lifetime of memories by her side. She leaves behind her cherished children, Brigitte Pittarelli, Lisa (Fabio) Pittarelli, and Giampiero (Hye Sook) Pittarelli, whose lives were enriched by her unconditional love and guidance. Her adoring grandchildren, Alessia Stead, Madison Stead, Renato Basile, Federica Basile, and Joe Pittarelli, will forever treasure her warmth, wisdom, and boundless affection.
She is also survived by her dear brother, Peppino (Elaine) Pepe, her loving sister-in-law, Evelina (Nicola) D’Angelo, niece and nephew Daniela D'Angelo and Nino (Lisa) D'Angelo, many treasured family in Italy and Canada, and lifelong friends, Adelia Paolini, Martha Baldelli, Anna Egitto, and Antoinette Roberto, who will always carry her memory in their hearts.
