Patricia “Pat” Caldwell

Patricia (Rodgers) Caldwell, 92, of Endicott, NY passed away on November 14, 2021. She was predeceased by her parents Florence and Earle Rodgers, her husband Joseph Caldwell, her sister Marilyn Nolan, and her brothers Richard and Robert Rodgers. She is survived by son Kevin Caldwell of Endicott; son Joseph and daughter-in-law Lisa Caldwell of Endwell; daughter Nancy Caldwell of Northfield, MA; son Matthew Caldwell of Newark Valley; granddaughters Jamie Smith of Rochester and Elyse (Matthew) Wilson of Binghamton; and great-grandsons Landon Smith and Calvin Wilson. Pat was born on April 15, 1929 in Oneonta, NY. A graduate of Union-Endicott High School, she worked for the Village of Endicott and then as a legal secretary, first at IBM and later for Hinman, Howard & Kattell. Always delighted by children, Pat volunteered at local schools and at Mom’s House during its years in Endicott. More than any other activity (except for eating chocolate), singing and listening to music gave Pat the greatest pleasure. Her tastes ranged from Mozart to the Beatles, and her voice remained pure and true, even as she grew older. In addition to singing in duos and trios, she was a member of the Saint Ambrose and Central United Methodist choirs, Harmony Club, Broome Community Chorus, Tri-Cities Opera Chorus, Madrigal Choir, and Binghamton University Chorus during her lifetime. For a number of years, Pat enjoyed the tranquility of Highland Lake at the cottage she proudly purchased and transformed into a picture-perfect retreat near Warren Center, PA. Pat was a member of Central United Methodist Church in Endicott. The family wishes to express their heartfelt thanks to the staff of The Hearth at Castle Gardens’ Keepsake Village and the Lourdes Hospice for their kind attention to Pat’s care and comfort.
Funeral Services will be held Thursday 11:30 am from the Allen Memorial Home, 511-513 East Main Street, Endicott. burial will be in Riverhurst Cemetery, Endicott. The family will receive friends at the Allen Memorial Home Thursday from 10:30 am until service time at 11:30 am.
