Patricia “Pat” Nash

Patricia A. (Mataraza) Nash passed October 31st, 2018. Pat was born March 29, 1942 in Poughkeepsie, NY. Pat was predeceased by her parents Patrick and Marie Mataraza and her brother Patrick T. Mataraza. She is survived by her husband Robert, Endicott, son Dr. Jonathan Nash (fiancée Brittany), St. Cloud, MN, sister Marie and husband John Simmons of Eugene, OR, and sisters-in-law Mary Ann Mataraza, Pine Bush, NY, and Pat Nash, Lake Hiawatha, NJ. Pat is also survived by two nephews and two nieces and their children whom she cherished. Pat has many cousins and she especially enjoyed her time with cousins Michele and Diane. Pat is a 1962 graduate of SUNY Cobleskill with an associate degree in Early Childhood Education. She taught preschoolers until she retired as Director of Endwell Nursery School in 2000. She was not ready to retire. She continued to work as a substitute aide for many years at HCA, Johnson City, in its Education Department. Pat enjoyed spending time with her family and traveling with Robert. Pat valued every moment that she spent with her friends who brought her joy and much laughter. She appreciated the friends who visited during her last months of life, particularly Tanya, who visited daily.
Visiting hours will be at Our Lady of Good Counsel Church, 701 West Main Street, Endicott, on Monday November 5th from 1 pm to 2 pm, followed by a Funeral Mass at 2 pm. Burial will be in Riverhurst Cemetery, Endicott.
