Phonepraseuth “Sirt” Phetphongsy

d. September 13, 2021

Phonepraseuth “Sirt” Phetphongsy passed away peacefully on September 13th, 2021. He is survived by parents, Lamone and Khamkhay; brother Ty (Navila); sister Phonemaly of Houston; the love of his life Patti Putano and three young sons: Dylan, Noah and Kaden. Sirt leaves behind many family members, but his kindness will especially be missed by his nephews and nieces: Tristan, Jessica, Landon and Gavin.
Born in the Vientiane province of Laos on March 10th, 1978, Sirt was the youngest of three siblings. The family emigrated to America in 1979. He attended Binghamton City High School until 1996. For twelve years Sirt was the owner of Sabaidee Thai Restaurant in Johnson City, NY. In December 2020, he traded in his chef’s coat for the 9-to-5. The family moved to Dacula, Georgia where he then worked as an Engineering Technician for Osmose Utilities Service.
Sirt will be remembered for his generosity, coy grin and off-color humor that automatically puts a smile on your face. He was a family man and one of the most loyal people to have by your side. He simply loved being in the company of his family and friends while enjoying a good meal. Even though Sirt was taken from this world far too early, the memories he created on this earth will last forever.
The funeral service will be held on Monday, September 20 from 1:00 - 3:00 pm at Allen Memorial Home, 511-513 East Main Street, Endicott, NY. Cremation will immediately follow the funeral service.
In lieu of flowers, please consider a contribution to our GoFundMe fundraiser, (https://gofund.me/517e456a), which has been set up to offset funeral expenses and support his three young sons. All remaining funds will go to his beloved family.
