Ralph Anthony Iannone, of Endicott, passed away on Saturday, February 15, 2014, four days shy of his 84th birthday at Lourdes Hospital after a short illness. He was predeceased by his parents, Nazzerano and Filomena; his wife, Doris Elizabeth Iannone; his brothers and sister-in-law, Ray and Patricia, and Joseph Iannone. He is survived by his sons and daughters-in-law, Steven and Bonnie Iannone, Dale Iannone and Norma Heslep-Iannone; daughter and son-in-law, Linda and Frederick Foltyn; and daughter, Sandra Iannone and fiancé Kevin Bartlow; his companion of many years, Shirley Dragos and also his daughter, Rachael Vavra; several grandchildren, Leigh and Jody Iannone, Merrin Alderman, Brandon Iannone, Maddie, Matthew and Kallie Foltyn, Paige, Devon, and Wyatt Struppler, and Brittney and Tyler Vavra; great-grandchildren, Alanna and Braxton Iannone. He served in the Marines and later became a self-employed carpenter. He was a proud member of the American Legion. He was loved by many for his quick wit and humor and always ready with a joke. He welcomed many people into his extended family, for which he was loved.
Funeral Services will be held Friday 1 pm from the Allen Memorial Home, 511-513 East Main Street, Endicott. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Johnson City. The family will receive friends at the Allen Memorial Home Friday from 11 am until service time at 1 pm.
