Randy M. Novicky, 62, of Maine, passed away at his residence on Wednesday, September 25, 2013, after a courageous battle with cancer. He was predeceased by his parents, John and Evelyn Novicky; an infant sister, Kathleen; and his father-in-law, Joseph Mendez. He is survived by his loving wife, Jo Anne Novicky; two daughters and a son-in-law, Diana Novicky White and Amy (William) Snover; and a son and daughter-in-law, Michael (Michelle) Carlsson; five grandchildren, Shane, Zachary, and Tara Snover, Johnathan and Emily Carlsson. Randy is also survived by a sister and brother-in-law, Sheila (Ben) Corson; a brother and sister-in-law, John (Chris) Novicky; his mother-in-law, Juanita Mendez; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Patricia and Robert Charlier and Glenn Mendez; as well as several nieces and nephews and many dear friends. Randy enjoyed listening to Patsy Kline and spending time at the hunting cabin with Dave and Phil. He was a huge NY Giants fan and loved watching them with Mark, Laurie, and Dave. As much as he loved the Giants, he loved spending time with his family. He was so proud of his children and grandchildren. Randy retired from the Town of Union with over 30 years of service. After retiring, he went to work for the Town of Maine and volunteered his time at the Southern Tier Independence Center and Broome Developmental Center. Memorial services will be held Sunday 4 pm from the Allen Memorial Home, 511-513 East Main Street, Endicott. The family will receive friends at the Allen Memorial Home Sunday from 2 pm until service time at 4 pm.
