Raymond Hallett

Raymond Hallett left his earthly body and took on his heavenly body Monday July, 28, 2014. He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Althea; two son’s, Raymond (Special friend Naomi) and Richard (Teresa); four grandchildren who were the apples of his eye, Andrew, Cameron, Derek and Justin; two special in laws, Alice and Don Morey; brothers and sister-in-laws, Donald (Mary), Eugene (Sally), David (Mary), brother-in-law, Jim Shirley; sister-in-law, Bonnie Shirley; as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins. Ray was predeceased by his parents, Benjamin and Esther Hallett; father and mother-in-law, Clayton and Dorothy Shirley; brother, Irving (Ardis); sister, Jane; brother-in-laws, Sylvester (Vet) and Clayton (Bucky) Shirley; sister-in-law, Beverly. Ray served in the U.S. Army and retired from SUNY Binghamton after 22 years of service. He was a member of the American legion Post 907 for 40 years. The family would like to thank Lourdes Hospice for their great care of Ray during his illness, and a special thank you to Sister Joanna, you are a special gift from God.
Memorial Services will be held Friday at 11 am from the Allen Memorial Home, 511-513 East Main Street, Endicott. Burial will be in Vestal Park Cemetery, Vestal. The family will receive friends at the Allen Memorial Home Friday from 9:30 am until service time at 11 am.
