Rebecca A. Cargill

Our beloved Becky, age 30, passed away Friday, May 3, 2013, due to medical complications. Becky was born October 13, 1982 in Binghamton. Becky is survived by her parents, Richard and Linda Cargill of Endwell, NY; her brother, Michael (Dr. Kimberly) Cargill of North Syracuse, NY; her sister, Kristen Cargill of Endwell, NY. She is also survived by her nieces, Olivia and Juliana Cargill of North Syracuse, NY; her grandparents, Roger (Pat) Cargill of Endicott, NY, Robert (Jean) Bisha of Canastota, NY, Ruth Johnson of Long Beach, CA; and several aunts, uncles and cousins. Becky graduated from Maine Endwell Senior High School in 2002. She had many different interests in her life. Becky had a great love and devotion to music. She was talented with the piano and violin and had a beautiful singing voice. Becky also had a great love for animals, especially her cat “Whiskers”, who was her ‘shadow’ and always followed and watched out for her. Becky never let her blindness stand in the way of anything she wanted to accomplish. In fact, it was the spark that fueled her spirit. She was very intelligent and had an astounding capacity for remembering people by the sound of their voice. Most importantly though, Becky was a kind and loving person who was constantly giving of herself for others. Becky will be greatly missed. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 9:30 am at the Allen Memorial Home, 511-513 East Main Street, Endicott, followed by a Funeral Mass at 10 am at Church of the Holy Family, Endwell. Burial will be in Vestal Hills Memorial Park, Vestal. The family will receive friends at the Allen Memorial Home Tuesday evening from 6-9 pm. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you consider donations to the Society for the Promotion of Education in Animal Kindness, Inc. (SPEAK), 351 Flint Road Binghamton, NY 13905 or the Ronald McDonald House of Rochester, 333 Westmoreland Drive, Rochester, NY 14620 in Becky’s honor.
