Richard Beatty

Richard Beatty, 81 of Endwell, passed away Tuesday, February 13, 2018 surrounded by his family. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Jeanenne Beatty; a son, Robert Beatty of Chicago; a daughter, Cheryl Winter (John) of Atlanta; a son, Thomas Beatty (Andrea) of Endwell; and four grandchildren, Megan and Zachary Winter of Atlanta, and Madeline and Joseph (Joey) Beatty of Endwell. He is also survived by his sister Patricia Brinsko of Endwell, and several nieces and nephews. Dick enjoyed going to all his grand-kids’ ball games, woodcarving classes, and breakfast with friends at the diner. His special love was his dog, Chico, who liked going for rides in the car. He was a parishioner of Church of the Holy Family and a member of Holy Name Society, where he worked in the kitchen for funerals and Lenten dinners. He received an honorable discharge from the the U.S. Army in 1966.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Tuesday at 10 am at Church of the Holy Family, 3600 Phyllis Street, Endwell. Burial will be in Vestal Hills Memorial Park, Vestal. The family will receive friends at the Allen Memorial Home, 511-513 East Main Street, Monday from 4-7 pm.In lieu of flowers expressions of sympathy in his memory may be made to, Mercy House of the Southern Tier, 212 N.
