Richard S. Lee, 61 of Estero, Florida passed away peacefully at home with his wife and close friends by his side on Saturday December 19, 2020. He was predeceased by his father Robert E. Lee, his brothers Robert E. Lee II and Mike Lee, his brother-in-law George Green and in laws Paul & Sophie Gofran and Carol Gofran. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife Elise (Gofran), and his cherished mother Irene (Moravec) Lee. He will lovingly be remembered by his brother Dave (Sandy) Lee, and sisters Debby (John) Lawton, Jennifer Picciano, and his sister-in-law Peg Lee; along with his brothers & sisters in laws Mark Gofran, Lynne (Walt) Bucher, John (Sandy) Gofran and Mary Therese (Tim) Owen as well as an abundant circle of special friends. “Uncle Rick” adored all of his nieces and nephews and their children. Andrea (Everett) Boccafola, Paige (Mike) Williams, Melissa (Dan) O’Brian, Kimberly (Chad) Erickson, John (Kayli) Lawton, Becky (Tom) Pesce, Matt (Stacy) Lee, Genevieve Picciano, Nicholas Picciano III, Natalie Gofran, Jennifer (Josh) Beck, Dan (Monica) Bucher, Steve (Jess) Gofran, Tom (Loni) Gofran, PJ (Danielle) Gofran, Samantha Owen, and Sean Paul Owen. Rick was forever proud to be born and raised in Endicott New York and his family knew that with just a phone call he would always be there for any of them. “King Richard” had a wonderfully successful career in the pharmaceutical industry which allowed him to extend his long list of great friends beyond the triple cities. Rick’s ability to make and keep friends stemmed from his genuine desire to help and listen to others, whether he was in the workplace, on a golf course, on the back of a boat, or on a bar stool. Rick’s love for his mother Irene was so abundant and ever constant.
A Funeral Mass will be offered Wednesday 11 am at Our Lady of Good Counsel Church, 701 West Main Street, Endicott. The family will receive friends at the Allen Memorial Home, 511-513 East Main Street, Tuesday from 2-5 pm. Appropriate precautions are being taken for public health concerns, including masks, social distancing, and managing the number of visitors at one time.
