Richard York

Richard York, 82, of Little Meadows, PA, died at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, Saturday, July 5, 2014. He was predeceased by his parents John and Sophie; two brothers John and Rudolph and two sisters Doris and Helen. He is survived by his wife Marilyn; four daughters Deb Gray, Geneva, IL; Lynn (Michael) Pettit and Becky (Rudy) Parker, all of Owego and Darci York, Little Meadows, PA; a son Rick (Stacie) York, Little Meadows, PA; his grandchildren, Joshua; Garrett; Tucker; Mackenzie; Valerie and Gabrielle; also several nieces; nephews and cousins. Dick was a very loving husband, father, grandfather and friend to many. Family was so important to Dick and he loved seeing his grandchildren grow throughout the years. He was a member of Our Lady of Sorrows Church, Vestal and owned and operated York’s Landscape Service and Nursery, for 55 years. Dick was past supervisor of Apolacon Township and past president of Endless Mountain Association. He was also an avid hunter and fisherman and enjoyed telling stories of his expeditions to his family and friends. Dick loved gardening, animals of all kinds, and was especially proud of his pond.
