Rita Scordino of Endicott, 90, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on July 23rd, 2023. She was pre-deceased by her husband, Mike Scordino, and son, Michael Scordino. Rita was survived by her children; Doug Scordino (Cindy), Sandra Conklin, Rick Scordino (Beth), her brother, Edward Cunningham (Dolores), and daughter-in-law, Donna Scordino. Grandchildren; Marla Zedanovich, Jay Scordino, DJ Scordino, Anthony Scordino, Jonathon Conklin, Joshua Conklin, Jessica Carson, Kristy Bernard, Ricki Scordino, and Derick Scordino. Great grandchildren; Jeremy Lewis, Adrienne Scordino, Charlie Bismark, Mia Conklin, Grace Elizabth Carson, Jacob Carson, and future great grandchild, Barrett Michael. She was also survived by her best friend, Maggie, her dog. Rita was a devout Catholic and lifelong member of St. Ambrose Church. She worked for Burt’s department store for many years before entering the medical field and working for Dr. Schetchter; and finally Dr. Maerz. Rita was the matriarch of her family. Although her last name was Scordino, she was a proud Irish woman. Our love and thanks go out to her caregivers, Carrie Calcagno and Alisha Dice, who were there with her until the end.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Thursday at 11 am at St. Ambrose Church, 203 Washington Avenue, Endicott. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Johnson City. The family will receive friends Thursday at church from 10 am until Mass time at 11 am. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy in Rita’s memory may be made to Lourdes Hospice, 4102 Old Vestal Road, Vestal, NY 13850
