Robert “Bob” Ayers

Robert C. Ayers of Endicott, NY passed away Tuesday, May 13, 2014 at Lourdes Hospital. Bobby was predeceased by his parents, Bob and Iva; his daughters, Roberta and Laska; and siblings, David, Ricky, Laska, Bonnie Ayers, Beverly Hill and Darla Grover. Survivors include his loving and devoted wife, Elawanda; his brothers, Harlan (Sue) and Doug Ayers; sisters, Sharon Manarky, Dixie (Gary) Knickerbocker, Penny (Jim) Hirst, Pam (Randy) Paton and Robin Ayers; his brothers-in-law, David (Brenda) and Jimmy France; several nieces and nephews and good friends. Bob proudly served as a Staff Sargent of Fire Services in the U.S. Air Force. After leaving the service he worked for Ugite Gas Company and IBM Endicott where he retired in 1999. He also became a member of Post 1700 American Legion and the West Corners Fire Department. Private services were held Friday May 16, 2014 at the Allen Memorial Home with full military honors.
