“Traveler, there is no path; you make the path as you travel it.”Robert B. Jenks (Bob), 81, of Endicott passed into his next life unexpectedly and with quiet dignity, surrounded by his loving family on August 16, 2012 at Wilson Hospital in Johnson City, NY. Bob was born on October 5, 1930 in Hartwick, NY. He graduated from Morris High School in Morris, NY. He served proudly in the USAF during Korean War from 1950-1954. He retired from IBM after 33 years of loyal service, which he was a member of the IBM Quarter Century Club. He was also a member of the Triple Cities Hiking Club, The Theosophy Society of America, The American Society of Dowsers, Inc. and a long standing member of the Central United Methodist Church of Endicott. He looked forward to volunteering at the BC Open for many years and Dick’s Open since its beginning. This allowed him to live life to the fullest and fill so many hearts along the way. He is survived by his spouse Louise (Giordano) Jenks of 38 years . Bob was pre-deceased by parents Ben and Dorothy Jenks, brother Neilan Jenks and brother-in-law Leland (Pete) Barnum. Bob is also survived by daughter Anne (Georgi) Terzieff of Melbourne, FL, son Scott (Michelle) Jenks of Jacksonville, FL, step-children Dina Boreffi of Endicott, NY, Michael Boreffi of Las Vegas, NV, Dominic Boreffi of Harwich, MA, Francis Boreffi of Endicott, NY. His surviving grandchildren are Heather (Chambers) Green and Thomas Terzieff, both of Melbourne FL, Sarah, James and Jeffrey Jenks of Jacksonville FL; step-grandchildren Gabrielle and Malaina Boreffi of Endicott NY. His surviving sibling Elaine Barnum and sister-in-law Shirley Jenks. He is survived by his beloved nephews and their families Peter (Bev) Barnum of Endwell, NY, Rand (Deb) Barnum and their children Ben, Sam, Sarah and Hannah of Vestal, NY, Kyle Jenks in Cleveland, OH and niece Allison Jenks( Mark) LeBatte of Manchester VT and their daughter Samantha. Bob will be remembered for his unique individuality, caring nature, philosophical beliefs and spirituality. He enjoyed walking, reading, golfing, being outdoors and spending time with family and friends. Funeral Services will be held Tuesday 11am from Central United Methodist Church, 17 Nanticoke Avenue, Endicott. Burial will be in Vestal Hills Memorial Park Cemetery, Vestal. The family will receive friends at the Allen Memorial Home, 511-513 East Main Street, Endicott, Monday from 4-7 pm.
